Any keyword you set up in Gloo will send back a single response when someone texts in the associated keyword(s).

Unlike Gloo's smart Quick Responses, which are topic oriented and trigger a response based on language processing, keywords have to be texted in exactly as you set them up.

Pro Tip: Head over to this article for advice on how to maximize your use of Keywords.

How to create a Keyword in the mobile app

  1. Tap on the Keywords button and then tap Custom.

  2. Tap the + button in the top right corner.

  3. Name your Keyword, create the options for the Keyword, and set the message you want sent back to any user who texts in the Keyword. Make sure to follow our Best Practices in your keyword creation!

Note: Tap "Enter" after creating each option for the Keyword. Each option will show up with an "x" next to it confirming this is something a person can text in exactly to get the response you set.

Pro tip: Add Effects to your Keyword so that the system will perform some additional administrative tasks for you like adding people to groups and emailing team members! For now, you must visit the web application at app.gloo.us to add/edit Effects.

  4. Tap Create Keyword.

How to edit an existing Keyword

  1. Tap on the Keywords button and then tap Custom.

  2. Keywords can be toggled on or off using the button on the right side.

  3. To edit a keyword, tap it.

  4. At the bottom of the screen, tap Edit to make adjustments to the Keyword. You can also use the timeframe buttons at the top of the screen to view how many people have interacted with your Keyword in a specific timeframe.

Pro tip: Add Effects to your Keyword so that the system will perform some additional administrative tasks for you like adding people to groups and emailing team members! Effects can be viewed in the mobile app, but for now, you must visit the web application at app.gloo.us to add new Effects or edit existing ones.
