Text Series are a great way to create engagement with people all week long. People can subscribe into receiving a series of text messages over the course of several days, weeks or months. You can easily set up all of your messages on the front end, or just set up a few and add content as you go! Either way, your people will be getting a steady stream of information from you through devotionals, training content, prayer prompts, and anything else you want to set up!

If you want to learn a little more about Series, make sure to check out our full Series Guide and our Best Practices: Series articles. If you're already an expert and just need some pointers for using Series in the mobile app, check out the steps below!

Setting up a new Series:

  1. Tap on the Series button. Then tap the + icon in the top right corner.

  2. Name your Series, set up the keyword options people can use the subscribe, and an optional description.

  3. Select whether you want your Series to be Rolling or Fixed.

  4. Configure your Auto-Response message. This is the message that will be sent to someone immediately upon subscribing to the Series, so it's a good idea to use it to welcome people, thank them for signing up, and give an idea of what kind of content they'll be receiving and how often they'll receive it.

Note: Effects are not currently available in the mobile app and must be added in the full web version at app.gloo.us.

Note: You can tap the icons under the message to add pictures and personalize the message, but the URL shortener is currently not available in the mobile app.

  5. Tap Add Message 1 to create the first message of your Series.

  6. Type out your message. You can tap the date/day (depending on whether your Series is Rolling or Fixed) and time boxes to customize when each message is sent.

  7. Tap Delete to delete a message.

  8. Once you've set everything up, tap Create Series to finish up.

View Series Details:

On your main Series page, you'll be able to view:

  1. The name of each Series

  2. Whether or not the Series is turned on

  3. What type of Series it is

  4. The keyword(s) used to subscribe to the Series

  5. How many people have subscribed (tap for more details)

Editing or Deleting a Series:

  1. Tap on the name of the Series you'd like to edit.

  2. Tap Delete to remove the Series.

  3. Tap Edit to make changes.

  4. When finished, tap Save Changes.

Note: If messages are added to a Series, subscribers will continue to receive the new message as long as they haven't completed the Series yet. For a Rolling Series, subscribers who have finished the content will be marked "completed" and will not receive messages added to the Series after they already completed it. For a Fixed Series, if everyone finishes the content on June 1 and then on June 10 you add new messages to the Series, users will not continue to receive those messages since the Series has already been completed. But if you add more content on May 31, all users will continue to receive the new content since it was added before they completed the Series.
