Broadcast Analytics

Track message delivery performance with Broadcast Analytics, including success and failure rates for both Broadcast and Smart Broadcasts.

With Broadcast Analytics, you can easily track the delivery performance of all your Broadcasts, whether they are standard Broadcasts or Smart Broadcasts.

View key metrics such as message delivery success rates and failure rates to better understand how your text messages are performing. These insights help you identify delivery issues, measure effectiveness, and make informed decisions to improve future communications.

Standard Broadcast Analytics

When sending a Standard Broadcast, you'll be able to see the delivery status for each recipient, showing whether the message you sent them is currently sending, was delivered successfully, or failed for any reason.

You'll be able to see metrics like total sent, delivered percentage, failed percentage, and sending status.

Smart Broadcast Analytics

Want even more information? Consider sending a Smart Broadcast instead! In addition to all of the delivery statuses you can see for a standard Broadcast, Smart Broadcasts also give you insight into how many people are clicking the link you send them, giving you a true picture of how many people opened and read your message.

In addition to delivery metrics, you'll also see click rate, total clicks, and unique clicks.

Accessing Your Broadcast Analytics

To view analytics for both Standard and Smart Broadcasts, navigate to your Communications tab, click Broadcasts, and then click View next to the broadcast you want to review.

Broadcast types are indicated visually next to each one. Smart Broadcasts have a purple bar/line graph symbol, whereas Standard Broadcasts have a blue message bubble. Any recurring Broadcasts (whether Smart or Standard) also have the green recycle symbol next to them.

How to Use Broadcast Analytics Filters

šŸ’” Delivered and Failed statuses are available for all Broadcasts. These metrics only indicate whether a message successfully reached a recipient's phone. They do not show whether the recipient opened or read the text message.

Use filters to focus on specific recipient groups and see why a message may have failed on delivery and how to fix the issue. You can click a contact’s name to review or update their information like their name or phone number as needed.

  • Delivered: to see who successfully received your message.

  • Failed: to identify recipients whose messages were not delivered.

  • Opened: to see who has viewed your message.

  • Hasn't Opened: to find recipients who may need a follow-up.

šŸ’” Want deeper engagement insights? Opened and Hasn't Opened are available exclusively for Smart Broadcasts and show whether recipients tapped the link in your message. Explore how to create Smart Broadcasts here! šŸš€

Delivered

Shows contacts who successfully received your Broadcast. You can see:

  1. Contact name (or phone number if no name is available)

  2. Date and time delivered

  3. Last opened time

  4. Number of times opened

Failed

The Failed tab shows contacts who did not receive your Broadcast due to an error. Each entry includes a failure reason and description (for example, an invalid or number that cannot be texted). The reason is listed under the Description column, and when you click on the info icon more context is provided.

You can click the contact to go to their profile so you can update their details and correct the issue.

Opened

The Opened tab shows contacts who have received and opened your Smart Broadcast, along with how many times they viewed it. Remember that this metric is only available for Smart Broadcasts, and not for Standard Broadcasts.

Hasn’t Opened

The Hasn't Opened tab shows contacts who were sent the Smart Broadcast but have not opened it yet. Remember that this metric is only available for Smart Broadcasts, and not for Standard Broadcasts.

This status can be a little confusing, because in some cases these contacts successfully received the message and simply have not opened it, but others may not have received the message at all, if there was an error. The Delivery Status column displays if the message was successfully delivered or if the message failed to deliver.

Click on the info icon next to any message marked as Failed to see why it wasn't delivered.
