Gloo's Messaging Features πŸ’‘

There are some features that are immediately available in Spanish, and there are some that are not yet available.

As of right now, the features in Gloo that use natural language processing are not available in Spanish, meaning only English words will trigger these features. These features include the Prayer feature and the FAQ Quick Responses.

The Gloo interface is also not available in Spanish. All features, descriptions, and instructions in your Gloo dashboard are only available in English.

However, Keywords, Series, and Broadcasts can be used in Spanish today. An administrator can simply craft any trigger keyword and message in Spanish as he or she is creating the Keyword, Series, or Broadcast.

You can also change the default language for the auto responses sent out by Gloo to Spanish in your account settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to adjust your Default Language.

  1. Hover over your initials in the lower left corner and click Account Settings and scroll to Default Language to update your language. Click Save Changes at the top of the page to save the setting.

Note: This language setting will affect several auto responses:

  • When a new church attendee texts your Gloo number for the first time, it triggers the user onboarding process. If your account is set to Spanish, the auto responses will be sent in Spanish. You can further customize those responses here.

  • Although a text in Spanish will not trigger the Prayer response, when an account is set to Spanish the auto response to someone's request is in Spanish. Some of this is configured in the Customizations menu.

Important: If you plan to use Gloo for a solely Spanish-speaking audience, make sure to take time to further customize your Onboarding settings and Customizations in Spanish as these will default to English responses.
