The Gloo mobile app is designed to help you keep track of conversations on the go. The Inbox tab of your mobile app lets you track and respond to conversations with Connections and Explorers, unresolved messages, and prayer requests right from the mobile app.
As of June 2025, we have released a brand new and improved iOS mobile app into the App Store for use on all Apple devices! The information in this article is specifically related to the iOS app. We are working hard to release the new version on Android as well- for more information on managing your Inbox in Android, check out this article!
Important note: In order to provide a quick sign-in experience, the new iOS Gloo app on Apple devices is by default not showing Broadcast messages within each person's conversation thread. Don't worry though! Messages are still going out and can be viewed in the full web version. We are working on giving you the ability to toggle this feature to be able to see Broadcast messages in people's individual threads in the mobile app as well, so stay tuned!
Managing Your Inbox
Tap the Inbox in the bottom left corner to view all of your message threads with your Connections and Explorers.
You can view the name and message sample for each conversation thread.
The icons make it easy to tell whether someone is a Connection or an Explorer- The chat box icon shows for Connections, and the compass icon shows for Explorers.
The Conversation Status can be found directly under each message. Yellow statuses require your attention, while grey statuses are all caught up!
If on our your Team Members is assigned to their conversation, their profile picture or initials will show up on the right side.
Viewing and Responding to Messages
Responding is easy!
Tap in the message box to type out your message.
Add a photo or video if you'd like.
Personalize the message by automatically adding in the recipient's first and/or last name.
Shorten any URLs you have used to make a shorter, cleaner looking message.
Notice how many credits this message will cost.
When you're ready, tap Send!
Note that if you are responding to a prayer request, you can tap the Mark as Prayed icon to activate your prayer response feature.
Sorting and Filters
At the top of the Inbox, there are several options to help you sort and categorize your messages to make sure no one falls through the cracks and everyone gets the response they need.
First, you can search your conversations by typing a name or phone number into the search bar.
Second, you can swipe left through the options of the prebuilt filters: All messages, Assigned to me, Connections, Explorers, and Prayers. Any category that has a message requiring attention will have a bubble next to it with the number of outstanding messages.
By default, messages are sorted so that the most recent reply from a Connection or Explorer is at the top. You can reverse this order if you'd like by tapping the arrow icon at the top.
Finally, if you tap the black filters icon, you can adjust your filters to only show conversations in a particular Conversation Status.
