Creating Broadcasts in the mobile app - iOS

Get your communication right to where people are - their phones, even when you're on the go

Updated over a week ago

As of June 2025, we have released a brand new and improved iOS mobile app into the App Store for use on all Apple devices! The information in this article is specifically related to the iOS app. We are working hard to release the new version on Android as well- for more information on sending Broadcasts in Android, check out this article!

Broadcasts are the ultimate time saver and the best way to get quick, direct communication to your people! It only takes one minute to send a message to all of your people or groups of your people. Everyone receives the message as if it is a personal message.

Use Broadcasts to send announcements, encouragements, and more! You can use the mobile app on your phone to send Broadcasts on the go just as easily as from your web browser.

Important note: In order to provide a quick sign-in experience, the new iOS Gloo app on Apple devices is by default not showing Broadcast messages within each person's conversation thread. Don't worry though! Messages are still going out and can be viewed in the full web version. We are working on giving you the ability to toggle this feature to be able to see Broadcast messages in people's individual threads in the mobile app as well, so stay tuned!

How to send a Broadcast in the mobile app

  1. From your Inbox, tap Create.

  2. Tap Broadcast.

  3. Format your Broadcast. You can choose who to send it to, and if you'd like to exclude certain people or groups. Then enter the text you'd like to send. You can use the icons beneath to add photos or videos, personalize the Broadcast by adding each recipients' first and/or last name, and shorten any URLs for a cleaner look. Choose whether you'd like to send the Broadcast now, or schedule it for later. When everything is ready, tap Preview Broadcast.

  4. Look everything over to make sure it is correct. Note how many credits it will cost. When you're ready, tap Send to X People.

Viewing Sent, Scheduled, and Drafted Broadcasts

On your Inbox, tap Broadcasts to view sent, scheduled, and drafted Broadcasts.

  • Broadcasts sent to Explorers will show their name in purple with the compass icon.

  • Broadcasts sent to groups will show the group name in purple with the group icon.

  • Broadcasts sent to Connections will show their name in blue with the person icon.

If you tap a Sent Broadcast, you can view it, or duplicate it to edit and send again.

If you tap a Scheduled Broadcast, you can view and edit it before sending, or duplicate it to create a second copy and send another Broadcast.

If you tap a Drafted Broadcast, you can view and edit it to get it ready to send out, or duplicate it to create a second copy and make your changes there instead.
