Learn about an extra layer of account authentication required to use powerful features like Broadcasts and Integrations

Updated over 3 months ago

In order to better protect you and the people you are texting, we use a system called Persona Identity Authentication. This is to protect against spammers and harmful users from using the Gloo App.

All Gloo accounts will need to complete this additional authentication step before using some of Gloo's more powerful features designed to reach large audiences. These include Integrations/CSV Uploads, activating Explorers, and sending Broadcasts. Note that only one Gloo Team Member needs to complete this step- not each team member in your account.

Note: This layer of account authentication is separate from the process of verifying your toll free phone number. If you're looking for information on that process, head over to this article instead!

How to authenticate your account:

  1. Click on the Messaging menu on the left hand side.

  2. Click on Broadcasts on the left.

  3. Click on Authenticate Your Account to get started.

Note: This button will also show up the first time you try to send a Broadcast, if you have not already completed it here.

In order for your new account to be authenticated, you will need to:

  • Upload an ID, such as a Driverโ€™s License, Passport, etc.

  • Take a picture using one of several available options for selfie authentication.

  • Only US IDs are accepted for Persona authentication

  • Ensure the photo of your ID is on a flat, non-reflective surface

The ID Authentication system compares your picture with your ID. From there, we can unlock broadcasts, CSV uploads, integrations, Explorers, and more in your account!
