Learn more about the State of the Church and the ChurchPulse survey

Updated over a week ago

Are you measuring what matters?

Thanks to our free Church Metrics tool, Gloo users can easily track large amounts of data from their church like attendance, baptisms, salvations, giving, and more. However, these common lag measures alone don’t give you a clear picture of your church’s health.

This is why Gloo has partnered with Barna and others to launch State of the Church. State of the Church 2025 is a year-long initiative to help leaders in ministry

understand current Church trends and utilize common measurements to see the flourishing of their own people and the thriving of their organization.

Measuring the 7 Dimensions of Human Flourishing and the 15 Dimensions of Church Thriving will allow you to see the health of your people and your church beyond simple attendance and giving statistics. As the big C Church unites around these common measurements, leaders will be able to see research trends and measure the state of their own churches, and network leaders will be able to provide resources and next steps for churches in their network.

As churches report and learn from each other, they will be able to contribute to unleashing the collective might of the global Church in unprecedented ways.

If you haven't already checked it out, make sure to visit our free State of the Church Kit to help you get started! There are two major resources provided by your Gloo account to get started with- the ChurchPulse Assessment and the Church Health Dashboard.

📱 What is the ChurchPulse Assessment?

The ChurchPulse Assessment is a 69-question assessment to help you measure how your people are really doing across the 7 Dimensions of Human Flourishing and how your church is really doing across the 15 Dimensions of Church Thriving. This survey takes only 5-7min to complete, and on average churches see 25-35% of their congregation complete the survey.

🚀 How do I deploy the assessment?

The ChurchPulse is completely free and can be easily deployed from any Gloo account, whether the free version or the paid Gloo+ version. You can access the Assessment by clicking on the Insights tab, then ChurchPulse. You can read more about the Assessment and click Configure Assessment to get started.
