What is Content Studio and how does it relate to Gloo Workspace?

Learn about Content Studio and its connection to Gloo

Updated this week

Content Studio is a new and exciting product line inside Gloo Workspace focused on content creation and social publishing. It uses a separate top-level Account (separate from your Gloo Workspace account), has its own signup and permissions, and offers Free, Plus, and Pro plans — so you only pay for what you need.

  • Content Studio is part of Gloo Workspace but is a separate product line with its own Account and subscription.

  • Your existing Gloo Workspace account (Communications, Discover, Insights, People) and its team members and permissions do not automatically transfer into Content Studio.

  • When you click Content Studio the first time you’ll use our shared OAuth and be prompted to create a Content Studio Account and invite the people you want.

  • Billing is managed separately in each product’s settings (Content Studio settings while inside Content Studio; Gloo Workspace settings while inside Communications/People/Discover/Insights settings). This gives you flexibility to only pay for the tools your team actually needs.

Why is this good for your church?

  • Only pay for what you need. For example, if you are a small social media team that handles content but doesn’t need full access to a Gloo+ membership and all of its communications tools, you can use Content Studio without changing your Gloo subscription.

  • Cleaner team structure. Invite the exact people who create and publish content — separate from leaders who send congregational texts and emails.

  • Flexible adoption. Content Studio can be used on its own (Free / Plus / Pro) or alongside your existing Gloo Workspace products. No forced bundling.

  • Clearer permissions and workflows. Content Studio’s permission model is purpose-built for content creation and publishing.

What to expect when you open Content Studio

  1. Click Content Studio in the Gloo Workspace navigation bar app-switcher.

  2. You’ll reach our shared OAuth screen..

  3. If you don’t already have a Content Studio Account, you’ll be prompted to create one and answer a short onboarding flow (account name, info, invite teammates).

  4. Once created, go to Content Studio › Settings to manage team members, permissions, and billing for that Account.

Important: This is a new, separate Account — your Gloo Workspace account team structure and permissions will not be copied over.

Billing & Subscriptions

  • Content Studio subscriptions (Free, Plus, Pro) are separate from your Gloo+ subscription.

  • These subscriptions are managed independently in each product’s settings.

  • You can have Gloo+ only, Content Studio only, or both — whichever fits your team and budget.

FAQs

Q. Will my existing team members be in Content Studio automatically?

  • No — team members and permission levels do not carry over from your Gloo Workspace account. You choose who to invite during Content Studio setup.

Q. Do I need to be a Gloo Workspace admin to create a Content Studio Account?

  • No — anyone with an eligible login can create a Content Studio Account, but you’ll be the initial Account owner and can invite others.

Q. Can billing for Content Studio be combined with our current Gloo billing?

  • Subscriptions are currently managed separately per product (different product settings pages). Content Studio billing is separate today if you choose to upgrade from the Free tier.

Q. Can we move team members or permissions from our Gloo Workspace account into the Content Studio account later?

  • Not automatically. If you need help replicating permissions or bulk-inviting teammates, contact Support and we’ll assist with recommended steps.
